He started his digital agency and the roller coaster ride began! At the age of 38, he had already broken the 7 figure mark and began the process of removing himself from his agency, at the age of 40 he retired from my agency, meaning he ran my multiple seven-figure agency by the numbers and that took a grand total of 2 hours a week. During that crazy ride, he has accomplished some amazing things.

Connor: Hey Lee, thanks for taking the time to chat with us. We love getting to know our partners better. This way our community can benefit from what our partners are offering and doing in the industry. To get started, can you give us a high-level overview of your career and how you got started?
Lee: Well, I started my first digital agency in 2003. I built that agency into a multi-seven-figure success and eventually sold that agency in 2016. After exiting my first agency, I dove head first into “Making Agency Owners Lives Easier,” which I continue to do.

Connor: Jumping off of that…if there is one problem you’d say that you solve best for your clients, what would it be? Why?
Lee: Systems and Process – After building my first agency (and every agency since then), I realized there is one thing that every single agency must get into place if they hope to scale their agency without working 70-80 hours a week. They must work towards replacing themselves with Systems and Processes. These systems and processes must provide peace of mind (transparency) into your agency’s sales and operational performance (KPIs) and allow you to run your agency “By the Numbers.”

Connor: As the company continues to grow over the next year, what are your plans for expansion? Any new products or offerings or enhancements to your current products?

Connor: And how specifically would you say that you and your team are different from other similar businesses in the industry?
Lee: We feel there are many reasons we are different, but if we had to pick a couple of reasons, they would be:
1) There is no substitute for experience – Lee founded his agency in his upstairs bedroom and built it into a multi-seven-figure agency he exited successfully. Most coaches portray themselves as the founder or leader that led their agency to success, but when you dig deeper, you find out they were in sales, operations, and possibly an administrative role. Lee’s experience comes from being in the hot seat and making hard decisions, and this experience is one of the many reasons Lee’s program is different.

Connor: I love it! Talking more about the online business industry, where do you see it going in the next 1-2 years? Any unique predictions that you could share?
Lee: AI is the big shiny new tool that will undoubtedly change the world, and the online business industry will also feel the impact. Quietly behind the scenes, as AI creates new enterprise-level marketing tools, smaller businesses will have the ability to leverage tools that were previously unattainable due to cost. IP Intelligence, Big Data, Predictive Analytics, and more will become commonplace in our industry over the next 3 – 5 years. We are working on integrating AI technology into our platform and are excited to see what it can bring to the table.
Connor: Changing gears a little bit…Regarding bookkeeping and accounting, what are business owners’ most significant pain points? Feel free to speak from personal experience as well.
Lee: With many business owners’ time is stretched, staying on top of the day-to-day grind of bookkeeping (categorizing and reconciling) can be challenging. So, in many cases, they cut corners. Which, in turn, causes them more issues down the road.
