My name is Connor Gillivan. I’m the CMO and an Owner of AccountsBalance.

In this exclusive interview, we interview Jason Swenk of Agency Mastery 360.

Connor: Hey Jason, thanks for taking the time to chat with us here. We love getting to know our partners better so that our community can benefit from what our partners are offering and doing in the industry. To get started, can you give us a high level overview of Agency Mastery 360 and how it got started?

Connor: As the company continues to grow over the next year, what are your plans for expansion? Any new products or offerings or enhancements to your current products?

Jason: Unlike a lot of communities and coaches out there, our team actually has experience growing several 8 figure agencies and having an exit. We are also are one that buys our agency clients when they reach a certain amount in NET Revenue.


Connor: What made you decide to get involved in the agency growth space? What’s your starting online business story? From what we’ve found, a lot of business owners in the agency promotion space have fun stories of how they first started…


Jason: Justin Timberlake is why I got into the agency space. My best friend looked just like him and in the 90s I created a fake band website called NSHIT. It went viral before that was a thing and next thing I knew I was an accidental agency owner.

12 years later I sold that agency and my competition kept asking me… How did you work with the biggest brands? How did you sell your agency? How did you not work yourself to death? And much more.


Next thing I knew I was helping agency owners grow their agencies and I love it.


Connor: Love it! Talking more about the online business industry, where do you see it going in the next 1-2 years? Any unique predictions that you could share?


Jason: AI will change everything. It will not replace the agency, but the agencies that use AI will replace ones that are not. AI will allow them to work with more people, faster, and deliver better results.


Connor: Giving you an open mic for a minute, what is something you’d want the AccountsBalance audience to hear?


Jason: Make sure your agency is charging enough for you to hit your goals. I see too many agencies reacting to what is coming to them and they are charging what the market wants them to charge. Then your agency can not afford to hire the right team which turns into the owner working around the clock.


You want to figure out who can afford what you charge and target them. Then hire the right team that allows you to OWN YOUR AGENCY, and not have the agency own you.


Connor: Changing gears a little bit…When it comes to bookkeeping and accounting, what do you think the biggest pain points for business owners are? Feel free to speak from personal experience as well.


Jason: I think the biggest painpoint in accounting is when my CPA looks at our books and says, “I got good news and bad news.” “The bad news is you owe a lot of money to the government. ”“The good news is you made a lot of money.” I don’t like funny CPA 🙂
